We coach using unorthodox methods based on the latest research available and developments in the medical world. This way we can ensure your personal physiological requirements are met. We take into account your current settings, lifestyle, individual make-up, limitations and biomechanical traps you may be stuck in to make it maintainable and realistic.
With our extensive knowledge and education we incorperate Functional Medicine along with Naturapathy, Chinese Medicine.. to add to the approach taken in Western Medicine so we can take a more holistic approach. We believe that combining all of these methods provides the highest chance of success for all of our clients.
Our Approach
It is important as a coach to understand the current internal settings of your clients as every individual has a very similar internal situation (hormones, enzymes…) yet will show big differences in how that individual will respond to external factors. This is due to our genetic makeup and the ability of our lifestyle, stress, environmental factors to slightly alter this internal situation.
The old fashioned approach was to start clients of on a baseline diet and then assess how they respond and make adjustments accordingly. However with this method you lose weeks and sometimes months of potential progress because there is no proper assessment done to understand this internal situation.
Not to speak about the extra damage done in some cases due to a wrongful attempt where foods and/or supplements were implemented that negatively affected that individual.
When as a coach knowing where to look and how to assess, you can understand and predict so many things even prior to starting with a client. This requires a more in depth approach but will in the end ensure progress and results from the get go.
Blood Panel
We encourage you to provide a list of your bloods which we will analyse. This will enhance our ability to assess your physiological state and coach accordingly. This might bring to light health issues that are not manifesting itself yet into symptoms which we can then immediately address through your lifestyle and nutrition.
In other cases it might help us determine the root cause as symptom pictures alone create confusion when the problems have been lingering for an extended amount of time before being addressed. Some crucially important health markers can only be assessed on a blood panel and just going by how you feel might give you a false sense of security. Make sure you have the following list with you when going to the doctor’s office.
We want to not only be within reference ranges but also optimise every aspect of your health to both ensure well-being and progress towards your goals.
Questionnaire
You will also be provided with access to our website and provided with your own personal login and password. Here you will complete our comprehensive subjective health questionaiire. This is important because a blood analysis is a snapshot in time which gives you a lot of information but on the other hand needs to be analysed by combining it with a detailed subjective assessment will help us as your coaches to form a provisional hypotheses as to the potential causes and presentation of any health hand brakes and therefore form the basis of the subsequent objective assessment from your blood analysis
Content of your plan
How detailed and what will be included in your plan will be discussed during the consultation.
This can range all the way from a specific detailed nutritional plan along with training programme (where all details are laid out) to lifestyle recommendations and guidelines around nutrition and training. We do not believe in a one size fits all approach and think it is extremely important to approach each individual differently. We understand that living a healthy lifestyle and chasing your goals should not undermine your personal life which is why we want to make sure this adds to your quality of life and does not dominate it.
On-Going Support
Along with all the instructions comes support to ensure you are able to follow your plan. We understand that questions will arise once you start with your plan. This is why we have a very intense way of coaching where we allow maximal flexibility for our clients.
We have an online database not only with exercise demonstration videos but also with explanatory recordings about cooking and preparation of meals, how to manage meals of plan etc.. On top of that are you able to book in check-ins whenever you feel neccessary.
